Chapter 8 Inside the Tekalloin [ArtSpace]
|
[TEKALKOIN HALL] Crawled through the door
because I didn't want open the Tourist door and awaken the sleeping guard,
There's another one snoring peacefully at the end of the hall.
So smooth & cool in here.
Some things rearranging themselves in the corner.

Right; "Thetor Returned"
an ancient painting of the Cicutan hero,.
Pass your mouse over it
(or turn on your MIN's VariSpectra)
to get an idea of how
it apears to Cicutans--
who can see colors
in the UV range that
humans cannot.

Finally, after wandering a bit, I have reached the last room, the largest.
It contains only one huge pieceThe Great Sculpture.
It is extraordinary. The sound it makes is amazing.
The sign says that it has made the cycle 300 times.

I bet they would like our Old Master, Theodore Geisel. I say out loud
to MIN.
The Guard who has just awakened, is excited. You
know Theodore Geisel! We have a genuine, ancient book of his.
He takes me to a small room with a worn Dr. Seuss book displayed like
the Guttenberg Bible.
Whod believe?
As I leave the room, I hear the packers coming. |
